Communities across the country are grappling with an invasion of proposals for massive data centers to be built on farmland, bringing with it a host of issues. Data centers require excessive amounts of water and electricity, straining local infrastructure. Many also believe that the land is better used for agricultural purposes. I personally agree and would add that the race to perfect a super-intelligent A.I. is in truth a destructive race towards oblivion, or at best, an opportunity to become the pet of a robot.
