On the same day as a military parade initiated by President Trump for the 250th anniversary of the Army and his birthday, waves of anti-ICE protests were staged across the country. Americans in general aren't by nature grim or rigid - soldiers were waving and friendly and the atmosphere was fun, proving that the US simply isn't China, Russia or North Korea, who I theorize Trump was hoping to both imitate and intimidate.
