In defense of the Medicaid cuts in the "big, beautiful bill" during a town hall this past week, Iowa Senator Joni Ernst shrugged off how lives would be lost because of it. "We are all going to die" was her response to the concerns of the crowd. I never cease to be amazed at how the average American is so easily tricked into voting against their self-interest.
