Earlier this month, the terrorist group Hamas savagely murdered over a thousand Israeli civilians, including babies. While Israel has the right to defend itself and respond to Hamas, that is complicated by the presence of civilians in the Gaza region and the refusal of neighboring countries to welcome Gazan refugees. Hamas strategy is to use their people as human shields. Civilians need to be kept out of the conflict, and leadership on both sides need to support a two-state solution.
