"RITTENHOUSE VERDICT"

11/21/21

"Many Americans were upset to hear that a Kenosha, Wisconsin jury declared vigilante Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty of murdering people at a Black Lives Matter protest that had turned ugly. Although jurors concluded he acted in self-defense, the bottom line is he shouldn't have inserted himself into a volatile situation brandishing an AK-47 and acting as if he had police authority. Had he not been there, people would still be alive. Unless the police or military calls upon a civilian militia for backup, they really don't have much legal authority to step into a situation. Simply waving high powered weapons at people doesn't make someone the police or the military, it only escalates things to the point where people end up dead and in a courtroom or prison. So kids, stay away from riots and don't take part in them either... it never ends well.
