Florida Governor Ron De Santis has attempted to cut salaries of any school superintendents or school board members who would mandate that children & teachers must wear masks in schools. Until children under 12 are vaccinated, it is probably irresponsible and unnecessarily life-threatening not to have young students wear masks at this point in time, as the Delta variant spreads to high risk groups because of the unvaccinated. Obviously things can improve, and once they do, there actually will be no need for your average person to wear a mask.
