A surge of migrants seeking to illegally cross the U.S. border with Mexico has been a situation that has blindsided President Joe Biden's administration. Certain immigration processing facilities are way over capacity and thousands of unaccompanied minors have been detained. Biden is faced with a tough decision, especially since Democrats are divided on open borders, something most Americans don't want to see. Whatever is done about it, creating reasonable paths to citizenship needs to be the guiding principle.
