Senator Ted Cruz is leading some other Republican senators to reject the presidential electors from battleground states in a last ditch attempt to seize the presidency from Joe Biden. Thankfully, most Republicans are sensible enough at this point to let it alone and show respect for the democratic process. I theorize this is simply hollow, self-serving grandstanding by Cruz to pave the way for running for president in 2024, as he knows this blocking attempt probably will not succeed.
