A number of Democratic candidates have already announced they are running for president in 2020, including Senators Kirsten Gillibrand, Cory Booker, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris and South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg. Trump has set the bar so low in terms of behavior that just about anyone could behave more presidentially. However, there are many voters who feel so strongly about certain issues that they will support virtually anyone who will advocate for those causes, including Trump. It will be interesting to see if the Democratic party will try to reach out to them or to voters in the center who are not caught up in the "identity politics" on both sides of the aisle.
