Steve Bannon, Chief White House Strategist &
Assistant to the President, is widely believed
to be heavily influencing Donald Trump's flurry
of blindsiding executive orders during
his first two weeks in office. Bannon, former
executive chair of Breitbart News (what many consider to be a white supremist news site), is especially thought
to have influenced the travel ban involving
several Muslim countries. Some troubling actions by Trump include gag orders
on NASA, the National Park Service and even the
USDA, keeping them from public communication. Let's keep government transparent - there should be nothing to hide. Trump also declared he wanted to
repeal the Johnson Amendment, which would allow churches to campaign for individuals without losing tax exempt status. Another day he repeated his support for torture, on another he targeted the Endangered Species Act, and another day he took aim at the financial reforms of
Dodd-Frank - legislation that helped us out of the recession.
Many Americans have questions and concerns about these rapid-fire actions of the Trump Administration. They are not the far-left or part of any radicalized fringe, but ordinary Americans who usually do not even talk about politics, which is pretty telling. The long and short of it is that Trump needs to slow down - America and the world can't keep up!
