GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump has been engaging in bully tactics this campaign season, insulting and harassing his opponenets and demonstrators and preying on the fears and prejudices of many white Americans, focusing on Mexicans and Muslims in a broad and generalized way as threats to the American way of life. Between the bullying and unhinged behavior on the campaign trail, I am surprised that he has generated a sizeable following when there are plenty of better-behaved candidates out there on both sides. I could sleep well knowing John Kasich, Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders were sitting in the Oval Office...they are less likely to send nukes flying or start WWIII. Americans need a president to lead, not to make us laugh...and cry later.
