"THE GHOST OF HARRY CARAY"

10/20/15 The News-Dispatch & 10/21/15 The Herald-Argus

The Cubs are on the edge of shaking off "the Curse" by advancing to the playoffs against the Mets to see who will represent the National League at the 2015 World Series. Fans of the team are ecstatic, of course, seeing that they haven't won a World Series since 1908. In the meantime, they became "Loveable Losers" in the eyes of fans. Famed Cubs Announcer Harry Caray, who passed away in 1998 and was noted for his colorful commentary and singing "Take Me Out To the Ball Game," and appearing to be tipsy during games, would probably also be elated.

10/22/15 Update: the Cubs lost their chances to reach the world series 4 games straight against the Mets...they have certainly put that whole "Loveable Loser" thing to the test.
