"COURTROOM DRAMA"

2/21/12 The News-Dispatch & The Herald-Argus

Indiana's Secretary of State Charlie White was recently convicted of a number of felonies including lying about his residence while registering to vote. He has since argued that others, including Evan Bayh, Richard Lugar, and Mitch Daniels have falsified their addresses too. Because felons can't hold office in Indiana, Governor Daniels appointed a temporary replacement in hopes the charges may be dropped to misdemeanors and White could be reinstated. Meanwhile, Democrats are pushing to have White permanently replaced with their candidate Vop Osili, who lost to him in the recent election. What a mess.
