Before anyone misinterprets this cartoon is an endorsement of anyone, understand that it isn't intended to do anything other than illustrate the incumbent defending her mayoral office against a challenger at the proverbial door (to those who may not know already: "La Porte" is French for "the door"). My opinion is either candidate would make a good choice for mayor, and it will be a tough decision for many voters. Coins may be tossed, and I could be one of the coin-flippers.
For the most part, I avoid lampooning mayors, since obviously they don't merit the same level of scrutiny and criticism as regional or national public figures (unless they are, let's say, the mayor of Chicago or New York).
