It's true that Obama's proposed budget does not begin to fix Social Security or other entitlement programs in trouble; and it's also true it probably doesn't do enough to bring down the deficit. However, these guys also need to consider the more immediate 800 lb. gorilla in the room.
I'm not going to revisit this issue for a while, because (if you'll pardon me using another animal analogy), it's just beating a dead horse.
