I am surprised someone like Pat Robertson (or Jerry Falwell - but I guess he's dead) hasn't come forward yet and said something crazy or offensive in regards to the thousands of birds that fell to their deaths in Louisiana, Arkansas and elsewhere.
Sadly, the crazies in Christianity get the lion's share of media attention, but if a Christian (or Muslim, or whatever) leader has a message that's positive or sane it tends not to make the news. I'd say that most news organizations operate with a bias against religion that most Americans (including myself) do not share.
