"MORAL BANKRUPTCY"

3/11/05 The News-Dispatch

Many who boasted about being "pro-life" were also avidly pursuing ways to make declaring bankruptcy more difficult for people who were already struggling. Declaring oneself "pro-life" should not be a license to get away with destroying the lives of those outside of the womb and still claim a kind of moral superiority on the basis of being nominally "pro-life."  One could say those who adamantly oppose health care for every citizen, for example (because they want to protect price-gouging pharmaceutical companies and health care corporations under the guise of claiming it would take away "our rights") are "pro-death" and that they support the "right to die?"
