Vladimir Putin is aggressively trying to intervene in the U.S. presidential election, whether it is via hackers - or even more menacingly - by openly preparing Russia for war with the U.S. if Hillary Clinton wins. Putin fears among other things that the U.S. under Clinton will hold him responsible for war crimes in Syria and will defend Europe against illegal Russian expansion. Donald Trump, on the other hand, has signaled he will give Putin a free pass on these matters in exchange for cooperation against ISIS. I am not certain whether Putin is genuinely paranoid or if he is putting on a pretense of paranoia in order to expand Russian aggression beyond Ukraine. At any rate, it's not a bad time to stock up on those "prepper" supplies...just in case.
