The unpopular stimulus and bank bailouts have a lot of voters up in arms; largely because they don't appear to have yielded the results promised. My opinion is that not nearly enough of that money was spent creating jobs. Question: I don't know anyone with a "stimulus job", do you? Many of us envisioned a kind of works program like FDR set up in the '30's. Didn't happen. To the unemployed, all that deficit spending appears to have been in vain. Why would more money be needed (at the expense of increasing the deficit) when the bulk of the stimulus money is mysteriously UNSPENT?
